My teacher taught me about dreams... πŸ’€ πŸ’€

πŸŒ€✨  One day I went to our music teacher’s home for practice with my friends. We spent a lot of time happily practicing and found a book in out teacher’s home during the interval. There was a report about dreams.

πŸŒ€✨  We asked out teacher about it and he told some surprising facts. This post is about the dreams he told us.

πŸŒ€✨   A dream is a group of images or events that we see during sleep. It comes naturally to us. What do these dreams look like? Let’s find out.

πŸŒ€✨   We can categorize something, event, a person, a place or an object that we most like or dislike as dream. Something that we desire the most is imprinted in our mind. When we direct out mind about that object or person for a long time, the information about it is stored in our subconscious mind (bottom mind).

πŸŒ€✨   In this way those thoughts that are passively stored in the subconscious mind are gradually activated when we sleep.

πŸŒ€✨   When we sleep, we do not intend any action from our body. But the mind works. The mind functioning in this way shows some things stored in the mind as a vision to our inactive body. Sometimes even our organs respond accordingly.

πŸŒ€✨   Talking in a dream, Walking in a dream and Laughing in a dream are the same actions.

Our Lord Buddha also had dream-

πŸŒ€✨   Our teacher said that our Buddhist literature also mentions many details about dreams. It is said that “Queen Mahamaya” had a dream when the Bodhisathwa was holding her mother’s womb.

πŸŒ€✨   The dream is to see a white baby elephant carrying a white lotus flower and riding around the bed and entering the mother’s womb.

πŸŒ€✨   And it is said that Siddhartha Bosath, who was seeking Enlightenment called Buddhahood, had 5 dreams on the night before he become a Buddha, which indicated that he would definitely attain Enlightenment.

πŸŒ€✨   It is also mentioned in Buddhist literature that king Kosol also saw 16 dreams about the future changes of this society.

πŸŒ€✨   There was a science of dream reading in ancient Indian society. It can’t be completely dismissed as a myth or a lie. Because certain events that are going to happen to us in the future can appear to us as a hints in dreams.

πŸŒ€✨   It is because of some doubts and thoughts in our mind.

πŸŒ€✨   The ancients believed that sometimes if we see an animal in a dream for example a snake, it is a sign of danger or loss. They believed also that if they see an elephant, a boy will be born and if they see a swan, a girl child will be born to a pregnant mother. We can’t say for sure whether it is true or not.

πŸŒ€✨   Scientifically speaking, a dream is an effect of enzymes and neurons in our brain. Continuous blood circulation and oxygen transport keeps our body active.

πŸŒ€✨   But psychologist say that if oxygen is not supplied to the brain properly, fainting or strange dreams will also occur.

He also told us about Abraham Lincoln dream.

Abraham Lincoln who was 16th president of the United States and his Murder

πŸŒ€✨   Lincoln had a dream about being assassinated before his death. Lincoln consulted with his friend Mr. Ward Lamont 3 days before his death. The dream is this,

πŸŒ€✨   Lincoln asked a standing soldier, “Who has died in the White House?” to which the soldier replied, “Mr. President. He was killed by an assassin.” Lincoln woke up at that point. It was on April 11th.

πŸŒ€✨   On the night of April 14, 1865, President Lincoln was shoot and killed while attending a opera show at Ford’s Theater.

Types of Dreams -

πŸŒ€✨   Depending on the time we dream or the state of mind we are in, we see dream change. Dreams that occur when we go to sleep with as anxious, tired mind and dreams that occur when we go to sleep with a calm mind are completely different.

πŸŒ€✨   Sometimes, if we go to sleep with a calm mind, there are times when we don't have dreams.

πŸŒ€✨   We have many pleasant memories and many unpleasant memories too about the dreams we see since our childhood. But we like to dream. Dreams have many varieties.

πŸŒ€✨   We can flying, stunts, breathing under the water like these, whatever we want. But some dreams, we can't control anything. We can't control our movements of our body or even our voice.

Some types of Dreams -

1) Day Dreams - The trance between sleep and wakefulness is similar in natural.

2) False Awakening Dreams - You know this has happened to me several times.

3) Lucid Dreams - Lucid Dreams occur when you realize you are dreaming and you control them.

πŸŒ€✨   Hey, All these things are resenting about our dreams. But did you know ? Our teacher taught us that we have another dreams about our life.

πŸŒ€✨   There are dreams that we see in sleep as well as dreams that we see for the desires of our life. Although the dreams seen during sleep are forgotten with time, we should not forget the dreams we deliberately see for life goals.

πŸŒ€✨   We must move towards it. Make it aim, not just a dream. Work for it and make that dreams come true.

Thank you very much to my teacher who taught me about this and made me want to search more about the this world.

Thank you…!   πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›
